Born in Murmansk. Graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire and completed a post-graduate study and assistantship (class of Professor Novichenko).
Made her Mariinsky Theatre debut as Tatiana (Eugene Onegin) in 1995.

Took part in a gala concert at Buckingham Palace with other Mariinsky Theatre soloists, Placido Domingo and the London Philharmonic under the baton of Valery Gergiev.
Has toured with the Mariinsky Opera Company to France, Slovenia, Italy, Finland, Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and the USA.
Has given concerts with Larisa Gergieva, Honoured Artist of Russia, in Moscow, Helsinki, London and Milan.
